Was life brought to Earth by a meteorite?

In a time about 4 billion years ago, big stones, called meteorites, traveled through space and hit the Earth. On one of them, the so called "Murchison meteorite", researchers now discovered the very basic building blocks for DNA and RNA - the molecules that carry all the information how to build a human body, for example. So it might well be, that the very origin or life came to us from space.
