Unraveling the genetics of chocolate

An interesting combination of institutions (choc co. Mars, IBM and the US department of agriculture) announced to decode the genome of the cocoa tree. Cocoa is the basis for all chocolate and unraveling its genome could help to make it resistant to pests and diseases. And who knows - maybe in a decade to come we'll have genetically modified, green fluorescing chocolate...
