Doesn't yawning let more air in?
When one yawns he/she is actually trying to get more oxygen for their body.
Contrary to popular belief, yawning has been proved to not be due to lack of oxygen.

Robert Provine, a psychologist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, conducted an experiment where students where given air with high and low concentrations of oxygen. The number of yawns the students made were then counted, and the number did not differ for students in both environments.
The experiment was then taken further and a group of people were given wristbands to wear and when they yawned, they were to press a button on the wristband. The research team recorded the timings of the yawns and a trend followed that yawning occurred most often prior to starting an activity. The reason for this is not yet fully understood, however it is thought that the yawning stimulates the person so that they are ready to start their activity.
