Dinosaur footprints in the Arabian desert

Fossilised footprints of a herd of at least two different species of dinosaurs have been discovered for the first time by scientists working in the Republic of Yemen.

One of the set of tracks, made about 150 million years ago, are the footprints of a small herd of four-legged sauropod dinosaurs .

The other set of tracks was made by a single, two-legged ornithopod dinosaur with a distinctive footprint of three huge toes.

What is mud is made from and how are footprints made?
