DNA (Desoxyribonucleic acid) is the molecule that all our cells store their hereditary information with. But it is not only one of the most important molecules of our body. DNA also has properties that nano-engineers are eager for. Scientists from Caltech University in California, USA now found a way to create nanotubes from DNA with programmable sizes. The tubes with diameters as small as 4 nm may become important building blocks for nanotechnology.
