First of all, let me say that the walnut cracker was invented by Jock Brandis of the Full Belly Project. In the colder Himalayan climate, the concrete took over a week to dry. Assembly of the metal components takes less than 1 hour.
Here's an interesting question for you: do you know the molecular processes that give concrete its strength?
Hi Chris! I've been terribly busy this week-end, so I haven't had time to reply to your message! I like your question! Actually this was a question I always had in mind but never really thought about it!
Maybe it's got to do with the dencity of the material? Or maby the molecular bonds of the concrete are stronger? I'm not really sure!
(It must be furstratig to have to wait for so long for the concrete to set! In Greece it doesn't take more than a day if I'm not mistaken!)
