If you want a debate, you have to give a definition of "god". Unless you do this, everyone is going to say irrelevant things. :)
A creator! A being ( spiritual, physical, or just energy ) with conscience that created everything we see around us, matter, energy, the laws of nature, us etc
At CERN we are trying to make a simulation of the Big Bang.
Our universe has been created by other people who did such an experiment and although the experiment lasts a few seconds for them, our universe will last for trillions of years if not forever! These people are our creator! :P
Or we are a computer game of the kid of 4 dimensions or we leave in Matrix! :P
... The bad thing with a hypothesis is that it might be too strange...
I believe their is no creator . Until several years ago i was sure god existed! he had to ! From nothing nothing is created so god should be that "something" . But then i asked my self another question : If god created universe , who created god ? the answer would be: no-one. God always existed , he has no end and no beginning. So then i thought again ... why can't have the universe existed always , with its laws and its mass - energy which as we learn is eternal? .... I realized that we don't need to suppose that there is a god with no beginning but we can directly suppose that there is a universe/multiverse/omniverse with no beginning .
That results to the idea that heaven doesn't exist... Which would be sad i must admit ....
Your question is connected a little bit with mine. If we are just a program of our cells that has been produced to organize our functions, if we aren't something more, a soul "trapped" in a body, of course when are organism dies, we will stop existing, so you can be sure there is no heaven. However, I don't think you can use the laws of logic on matters like this.
